This book is amazing. It's simple enough for children to understand, and open and broad enough for it not to pertain to just autism. So many autism books I've seen talk about they "don't want to be touched", "they say the same words over and over", "they flap their hands". My daughter has autism and none of those things are true for her. So since this doesn't go into the stereotypical symptoms, it really can apply to a much larger group of kids. I read it to my daughter's class to start a discussion and it work out so well!Product details

This book is an effective tool for helping those on the spectrum to understand their strengths and helping others to understand the differences.
As a middle school administrator I am always looking for material written by middle school peers that talk to issues that affect school children. Chloe Margarones has written a fantastic tale covering an issue all schools face. Inclusion is difficult to make seemless as there are sometimes differences that are hard to understand in students who, at their age, are more self aware. Chloe has a vision of global awareness and has eloquently written a tale that expresses what, we as adults who teach tolerance to differences, have trouble getting across to her peers. Two thumbs up.
